How To Install Flash Plugin in Redhat 6 / Centos 6 / Scientific Linux 6



Adobe flash player is required to show videos,designs,animations and some standard webcontent,If it is not available during browsing then only text will be seen on browsers.

So Adobe flash player is must on Browsers for comfortable viewing of contents

In this tutorial i will tell you how to install the latest version of adobe plugin in Redhat /Centos/Fedora/Scientific Linux
To install adobe flash player plugin just copy and paste the below commands in terminal
For 32bit system
Step 1: Login as root user
           
            $ su

Step 2: Download the rpm file

           # wget http://linux.download.adobe.com/adobe-release/adobe-release- i386-1.0-1.noarch.rpm

           #rpm -ivh adobe-release-i386-1.0-1.noarch.rpm

Step 3: Update  yum and install the package
          
          #yum update all

          #yum install flash-plugin


For 64 bit system

Step 1: Login as root user
         
            $ su

Step 2: Download the rpm file

           # wget http://linux.download.adobe.com/adobe-release/adobe-release-x86_64-1.0-1.noarch.rpm

           #rpm -ivh adobe-release-x86_64-1.0-1.noarch.rpm
Step 3: Update  yum and install the package

          #yum update all
        

         #yum install flash-plugin

Test flash is installed or not by open any youtube video or visit the following site

http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about
