How To Install VLC Media Player 2.0.7 on Ubuntu 12.04 / 12.10 / 13.04

VLC is the best open source media player. It will support all video formats

VLC 2.0.7 "Twoflower" is a small update to our 2.0 media player.

It is a small update that fixes some regressions of the 2.0.x branch of VLC.
Fixes track selection for PowerPC machines.

Fixes an important regression in decoding numerous audio file formats and when encoding in MP3 and AAC.

IT closes a couple of security issues and fixes regression in our ActiveX plugin for Internet Explorer.

With faster decoding on multi-core, GPU, and mobile hardware and the ability to open more formats, notably professional, HD and 10bits codecs, 2.0 was a major upgrade for VLC.

Open the Terminal by pressing ctrl+alt+t and type the following commands
Login as root user by typing sudo su in terminal
add-apt-repository ppa:n-muench/vlc
apt-get update
apt-get install vlc
Thats it VLC will start to download and install...........
