How To Install SKYPE 4.2 On Ubuntu 12.04 / 12.10 /13.04

Skype 4.2 released and i will tell you how to install on ubuntu 12.04 / 12.10 / 13.04

Two Ways to install skype on ubuntu

Method 1

Install skype via ubuntu software centre

Method 2

Step 1 : Download Skype from HERE
              
Choose UBUNTU from the list

Step 2: Install the package

#sudo dpkg  -i skype* .deb

Step 3:Tray Icon 

If Icons are not installed during the installation type the following commands

For 32 bit
#sudo apt-get install sni-qt

For 64 bit
#sudo apt-get install sni-qt sni-qt:i386

Uninstall Skype 

To uninstall skype type the below command 

#sudo apt-get remove skype skype-bin

That's it Skype Installed and Uninstalled........................
