How To Install / Uninstall Adobe Reader 9.5.5 on Ubuntu 13.04 / 12.10 /12.04


In This Tutorial I am going to install Adobe Reader 9.5.5 on Ubuntu 13.04 / 12.10 /12.04 

In Ubuntu Default PDF Reader is there,but many peoples know that adobe reader is the best pdf reader.It's the only PDF file reader which can open and interact with all type of PDF content including multimedia and forms.

Adobe Reader is not available in repositories of Ubuntu 13.04

Two methods are available for installing adobe reader 9.5.5 on ubuntu

Method 1

Download the deb file and install

Step 1: Download the deb file from the following download link



Step 2: Downlaod & Install the deb file 
sudo dpkg -i  *.deb

Method 2

Add the Repository and install

Open Terminal and type the commands 

sudo add-apt-repository "deb http://archive.canonical.com/ precise partner"
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install acroread


Thats it Adobe reader 9.5.5 is installed on your system

For Uninstallation

sudo apt-get remove acroread

Thats it Adobe reader 9.5.5 is uninstalled
